Rathcoona
Cove
'Shannon'
was brought to the Stud in Feburary 2007. She had already produced one foal as a 3 year old, which coincidently is one
of our geldings, Storm.
Shannon has wonderful
breeding. She is by Moy Hazy Cove and out of a mare by Westside Fred.
She has had 3 foals to date, Storm was her first and he is now a 5yo gelding. In 2008 and 2009 she produced very
good quality colts to Dunlewey Rigmarole who stands at the Bidddesden Stud.

Canal Lorna
We took delivery of Lorna in May 2010, direct from Connemara itself.
She was bred by Padraig Hynes at the 'Canal Connemara Pony Stud'. She is by Frederiksminde Hazy Match. He has bred
and produced many top quality ponies since he started the 'Canal Stud.'
He dam side is very
important to us, as Lorna goes back to great mares such as Village Laura, (who decends from Village Swallow) and also Finola
of Leam.
Lorna's colour is also an important asset to us. Bays and Browns are not always seen now as the grey pony
has become dominant, so we hope that we can encourage the hard colour Connemara to become strong again.
She will be shown lightly and when ready she can be put to a stallion to start her stud career. We hope
to break her and have her ridden in the future.
Arrow Peruna - SOLD
Peruna was purchased in Spring 2008, in foal to Pilgrims Exalibur.
She is by Arrow Chevalier ex Calmore Pratie (Macnamara), therefore a full sister to the stallion Arrow Javelin.
She competed
under saddle in her early years as a successful working hunter pony. She has had 3 foals before coming to our stud,
notably one of these won the Filly Foal class at the 2005 British Connemara Society Breed Show.
